Southampton captain Virgil van Dijk is rated very highly by senior figures at Inter, and could be targeted by the club this summer.
Nerazzurri scouts have compiled several reports on him which note his impressive physical strength and technique, as well as his natural leadership qualities.
The former Celtic centre-back would cost around €50 million, while Chelsea and Liverpool are also credited with an interest in him.
Inter would be unlikely to pay the full cash amount, but could offer technical counterparts in exchange. Jeison Murillo is reportedly set to leave the club, while Andrea Ranocchia has attracted interest from other Premier League sides during his spell at Hull City.
