Disappointed Inter manager Stefano Pioli reflected his thought about the Crotone defeat after the game to Sky:

It made me angry so much the first time, we made fundamental errors in the game. We can not approach the game in proper style as well, and kept on committing same mistakes. We also had the chance to draw level, Eder’s chance was crucial. The defeat feels heavier. Against Milan we must make sure it is not one of those days.”

“We had prepared in a certain way for the game, no one in Appiano thought about the derby because we didn’t have a great result. Unfortunately we made mistakes that are difficult to explain. We were too shallow, light and inaccurate. Today’s images are clear: we have not been as careful as we should be for every minute and every ball. The error is mine, I prepared the players. It is difficult for them to commit mistakes.”

“We need to keep on working. The results will only be fruitful if we can keep continuous efforts. We have pushed and achieved few things but we failed to maintain a high level of attention and care which was needed. In my experience, this is the first time when we have shown some serious deficiencies. We have the derby upcoming and we must find motivation for that but today it was all bad.”
