Former Juventus and Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati was interviewed by Calciomercato.com ahead of Saturday’s derby della Madonnina at 12.30 pm CET.

“There are no favorites in the derby, maybe Milan are doing a bit better. It will be difficult but I think Milan will win. My fondest derby memory is the one from 1999, the first derby I played, whilst the most beautiful one and also the most important one I played was the one against Kallon in the semifinal of the Champions League in 2003.”

In conclusions Abbiati was asked about the rumors circulating that Roberto Mancini could be appointed the new coach of the Rossoneri: “I can’t see Mancini on Milan’s bench after all the years spent at Inter and what he represents for them so I’ll say no.”
