The Argentine Football Association has already received a “yes” from Jorge Sampaoli, as it seeks a replacement for Edgardo Bauza.
According to Marca, the AFA has been in contact with the Sevilla coach, who almost immediately signalled his intention to accept the job.
Diego Simeone had initially been first choice, but the AFA simply cannot afford to pay the high release clause stipulated in his contract with Atlético Madrid.
