Inter legend Giuseppe Bergomi spoke to Sky Sport after the draw with Milan yesterday and said that Inter should have held on for the win.
“The fans should not blame the referee. Inter seemed in sharp control, then the formation changes of Pioli suffered from the final assaults from Milan,” he said.
“The match was played with a great intensity. Milan were good at the beginning but then Inter deserved more being in charge of the game for longer, but games are played until the end.”

“the formation changes of Pioli suffered from the final assaults from Milan,” he said.” – Isn’t he being quite critical here and saying it was a mistake to change formation?
Still saying we deserved to win is quite too much – we didn’t! Milan played better football than we did for sure, had more possesion and were very dangerous but we had some very big chances which we didn’t take though. A draw wasn’t unfair but it raised the question; has Pioli gotten us as far as he can? And is he the right man to give the keys for the coming transfer window to? Changing a coach just for the sake of changing doesn’t make sense and if we want Simeone we´ll stick with Pioli for one more year and get Simeone 2018, because no coach will sign a 1-year contract with us.
