The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter’s 2-2 draw yesterday in the derby could signal the end of Stefano Pioli’s reign in charge of the Nerazzurri.
The paper reports: “The Zapata goal may have finally ‘sentenced’ Pioli. The impression is that there are very few chances of reappointment for the 51-year-old. Two points in the last four games have scaled back ambitions of a team that is in serious danger of finishing outside the European spots. A potential disaster which the blame you could not just place on the bad start had with Frank De Boer at the helm.”
It also reports that Inter will be looking for replacements and have linked the club with Diego Simeone once more, but have said that the friendhip between Javier Zanetti and Simeone could play a big part.
“The diplomatic work of vice-president Javier Zanetti may be important as a good friend and sponsor of Simeone,” The paper says.
“Inter would also be looking at Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, Marco Silva and Jorge Sampaoli. However Pioli could fight off the advances of any other coaches by accumulating 18 points in the final six matches and finishing in the Europa League places.”

Here is my opinion:
1. Pioli won’t do wonder at Inter, he has no right mentality to lead Inter
2. If we keep Pioli, i don’t see next year we are going to UCL
3. Not only Pioli fault, but our players took a part
4. Our players do not have the warrior mentality, they taking the game too easily and i never really seen they all fight like those big club players
5. The ref hate us too much 🙁
if simeone not coming, pioli still the best option. and the board room must have faith at him..
no time to make another wrong decision like last season (mancini out, de boer in, just 2 weeks before season start).
JZ4 be like:
“ugh, taking Simeone here comes back be my KPI.. why pioli why”
#simeone
It is almost impossible to collect 18 points from the last matches. Europe is pretty much gone but Pioli should win the team mentality back(last minute goals and no dying attitude) and make a backbone for the team with clear ideas. If not then providing him with another season is useless.
Very well said.
I think nonsense to keep rumors about letting Pioli part with Inter unless a big name is guaranteed to come, after all Pioli used the available squad wisely in away two coaches before him could not find any hope in even trying.
To Mancini in pre season matches was no different than FDB
He has some horrible and questionable desicions along the way which costed us badly, like his subs, no Gabi, 3 man defense against big teams and subbing Mario at this last match.
mourinho or simioni….NO ONE OTHER THAN THOSE
Love the way everyone turned their back on him after three games and he was hailed as lord and saviour of the team only a month ago. Hilarious. Anyway, I am behind him. He should stay and have a long preparation with the team in preseason and he should also be given the funds to bring in some of the players he wants. Only Simeone gets the nod over him in my books. And that’s it.
no he has screwed up every big game
And other coaches had great results? He is the best, statistically. He brought us a lot of points and saved the season from being a total disaster. His subs against Milan were questionable and game against Crotone forgetable but everything else is better than I’d expect from a high caliber coach.
I used support him til samd n crotone game. Two lost in a row against team that we should win easily.
Im fine with big games result but those two games n see how he react in those game makes me think that hes not the right man for us. Sadly i m afraid we cant find better names out theres. But if we wanna change the coach, the end of season is the perfect time to do it, with sunning full of support, time to prepare the team, n market still not open yet.
If we can actually bring in Simeone, then great, go at it. But since we most likely won’t get him there is no point in bringing a new coach AGAIN. Coaches like Blanc and others will NOT improve the team by a considerable margin and will only set us back to YET ANOTHER year zero. And that’s been going on for years now! Pioli needs a chance, he had a good run and losing two games with an inconsistent team that has almost no depth is not entirely his fault and he should not be punished for that.
If we wanna take simeone in 2018 or in the near future, we better not spend alot this summer til simeone give us clue bout what kind of players that he want. So basically that would be another year zero too.
But i kind agree that others name (unknown/unproven coach) will give same result as we have before.
statistics tells everything.
I had copy-pasted his bad coach staistics before he came to inter. after a short period of good results, he went back to his bad statistics score. no future with him, sorry.

#WelcomeSimeone
He won’t join us.
We’re gonna take that Silva guy or some weird choice whose agent that Kia Jooribloori is. I’m still so pissed with the ref. Our players are so bad that they can concede any time and he gave the chance for Milan.
