Speaking on Radio 24 show Tutto Convocati, former Italian basketballer and known Inter fan Mario Boni spoke on the current situation at Inter: “To this day, I do not know who makes Inter’s signings. It takes a coach who does not suffer from the purchases but decides them himself. Personally, I would like Antonio Conte [on the Inter bench]. He is a winning coach with personality. Stefano Pioli a good coach but has not won anything.”

True, it has been our problem ALWAYS (well, not only ours – almost every club in south europe has this problerm) that the club is buying in players they (the owners, directors of sport etc) like and then the coach just have to work with what he gets!
In England the coach is also a manager who desides whom to sell and to buy and therefor they also get to spend more time on the bench/office than the coach does in Europe.
The way forward could be to let Ausilio go and get in a big name coach and make him an “English-style-manager”. To be honest I´m not very fond of the work done lately by Ausilio neither with our very weak vice-president Zanetti who should be very “strong” and show character especially now the president is Thohir and is never present in Italy and when Steven Zhang still not inserted as our new president.
Inter needs a leader on the pitch but also in the management team and Zanetti has quite frankly disappointed in his role (he missed out on convincing Dybala f.x to join or to keep Mancini happy) and only getting in Simeone will make up for that.
is a whole new role for him, he is more like our “brand” for the media… in any case I can’t blame him, if you were Dybala and have to chose between us and Rube what would you do…. let’s be realistic we can’t even advance the group stage of EL… so if “IL Sholo” comes maybe we can change our mentality issues, as he is hard worker coach who btw cares about our beloved club, but Zanetti is not the one to blame for our bad results that at the end make us look less attractive for high rated players etc.
I dont blame Zanetti for the mess the club is in – I blame everyone in the top of our management.
We need a plan and a clear leader to lead the club and to tell everyone in which direction we´re going. Once we had Moratti as our leader and he did a lot of stupid shit, but he surely LEAD the club! Now, we haven’t got anyone!
Thohir is our president, but he is abroad all the time, Zanetti is too shoft to ever speak his mind and be a true strong leader, Ausilio is buying and selling players on his own it seems and hiring and firing coaches too! Baldini I still don’t know what is doing at the club.
No wonder it is difficult to turn a bad period around at Inter for the coach (whom ever that might be) with the headless monster called Inter as your employer!
