Tuttosport report that Samir has overtaken Ricardo Rodriguez as Inter’s preferred left back while Matteo Darmian remains the preferred candidate for the right. Darmian wishes to leave with next year being a World Cup year and he doesn’t wish to risk missing it. Inter could sign him for 10-11 million but if unsuccessful have Vrsaljko, Henrichs, Zappacosta and Conti in mind also.

Honestly, I’m sick of continuous reading that we could eventually interested in same mediocres like Darmian, Samir, Zappacosta, etc. That’s bullshits! We don’t need quantity anymore, but quality! If we can’t afford or can’t secure players like Rodriguez, Mendy or someone similar, who will add value and raise our quality, better stay with our current average. I just don’t see the point to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, buying mediocre players, only to say that we did something!

Mendy will defiantly end up being overpriced ..like over 50 mil…
I would prefer Samir or Rodriguez …and for the right side Zappa
We’ll we can at least try, but it’s really hard to get Mendy as at least ManU and City are most likely bidding for him. Rodriguez has had an awfull season and that worries me a bit, but that could just be down to idiot coach that has played him as cb.

I would definitely prefer Zappacosta and Samir . They both have showed their great quality in Serie A. especially Zappacosta , his crosses really accurately , has several assists to his name..
The best part is that, they’ll come way cheaper than others as well so we can spend the big money on attackers and midfielders if we need to .
R.Rodriguez has a buyout clause of 22M, that is cheap for the quality he offers.

Is Samir that good or just Juan Jesus 2.0? I haven’t seen him play except against us and he said himself couple of weeks ago that it was his best game of the season.

If we had a guy handling our transfers that had a good track record finding talents like Napoli and Roma(they had, he’s gone) I could be a little more confident. But remember also that Napoli and Roma do that because they have to. They can’t afford to do anything else. They also don’t get it right everytime.
