Another defeat, another disappointing performance. Inter manager Stefano Pioli spoke to Inter Channel after the defeat:
“We have 5 games to gain something from the season. Tonight it was too bad, but we can’t run away from our responsibilities. We have to face it. We still can be different from tonight. If there was only one cause then it would have been easier to mend. The 1st half was a bit unexpected for me. But after the end of 1st half we had a great opportunity to get a hold of the game but we failed. We have again failed to react in this situation. The mental aspect needs to be put in order immediately, this is not even the second time and we can not afford to finish the league with these performances.”
He was then asked about the next match which The Nerazzurri will play against Napoli:
“With due respect to them, the opponent is a secondary concern right now. Our performance depends on us, we have to talk about it clearly and analyze it and certainly work harder. We have to end the championship in a dignified manner.”
