Beppe Bergomi spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport on Inter: “It is true that the owners [Jindong Zhang] is not prominent in Milan but there are good directors, from Ausilio to Gardini to his son Steven. The Nerazzurri are more talented than Milan but have less character. There must be a revolution in the next tranfer window, 2-3 grafters that give personality and experience. Certainly I would continue to focus on Stefano Pioli as it is not his fault that the team had an athletic decline after the summer with Mancini who did not prepare adequately.”

Nah, it’s all on Pioli.
*Sarcasm*
these are just excuses…when Mazzarri was coach of this team they were in Tip Top shape with few injuries AND they still collapsed so i’m not buying it. If they are not in top shape playing once a week what makes you think that Inter is capable of playing in Europe? THIS TEAM IS LAZY ! i know what half this team is thinking “why finish top 5 anyways, it just means more work for us next year…..let’s finish 6th place and chill “
Actually a very good point – that the team didn’t spend the summer training like they were supposed to do and therefor wasn’t in good shape. De Boer also said that exact thing when he came in, plus the first thing Pioli did when taking over was to have double training sessions a day to get the players in shape.
It worked, we were doing very well for 6months but now we actually seem tired out there…. (fear very much for the Napoli game, because they’ll let us run!)
Make sense.
