Speaking to Sky Sport 24, transfer market expert Dario Massara discussed Inter’s potential moves, starting with the coach and the defence: “The Nerazzurri still dream of Diego Simeone and Antonio Conte. Both seem likely to stay at their respective clubs and are difficult targets, but not impossible. Stefano Pioli could yet remain if neither of those two arrive, whilst Luciano Spalletti is another potential candidate.

“The club has begun its work on the transfer market regardless of who the coach is, as a number of players are set to depart. Inter need a centre-back, and Kostas Manolas is preferred to Stefan de Vrij. At left-back, Ricardo Rodríguez is first choice. Inter will have to sell in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, and Marcelo Brozović seems most likely to be sacrificed. Alexis Sánchez is also considered a priority, but he will be extremely difficult to sign.”
