Former Inter centre back Matias Silvestre, now of Sampdoria spoke to Il Secolo XIX on his career: “I think my best season was that one at Palermo. I had been spoken to about a possible call up to the Italian national team and was bought by Inter. I had also scored five goals. But I’ve not scored in some time. I have always been used to scoring in my career. Only here in Sampdoria have I not yet succeeded in doing so: I regret not having been able to score in this shirt. I’ll try until the last day.”
