Inter defender Marco Andreolli spoke to Inter Channel after his side’s 1-0 defeat to Genoa and said that the players must respect each other before the fans and shirt.

“We knew we would have found a team that would leave us a few spaces, but maybe we were not fast enough with the ball and creating chances in front of goal.

“We could do better, we had chances in both halves but you have to score. I’m sorry, because I think the team has given their all on the pitch today.

“Before talking about respecting the shirt and for the fans, everybody must have respect for who the player is and who the professional is. In addition to the fans everyone should respect himself and his partner.”

Then Andreolli discussed what is missing from this Inter side to get back to winning ways.

“It’s a difficult question to answer and if we knew that it, it’d be easy to say and change course. Now we have to be united and prove that we are players and do it together. You can only get out of this situation by sticking together.

“The closeness of the group is integral to achieving great things and building something important. For four months the group has been united, but at the first moment of trouble, things have changed.

“We have proven that we are able to succeed and we must return to that. ”

Andreolli then spoke about his own performance and what he must do.

“My condition is the one that is not playing for so long, but I must get on with it and give everything I can to myself, my companions and the whole group. I hope everyone can do it.”
