Following the sacking of Stefano Pioli, Inter Milan will continue to look for various replacements for the long-term next season. Among the names according to Italian news outlet Gianluca Di Marzio, the club still await word for the likes of Antonio Conte or Diego Simeone, Leonardo Jardim was also proposed as a possibility.
However, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is strongly liked by the club, and Pierro Ausilio has admired the Tottenham manager for a long time. Walter Sabatini, who was recently appointed as a technical director, is also a fan of the Argentine.
Pochettino has a clause inserted into his contract and is currently considering the pros and cons of assuming the Inter coaching position. The Nerrazzuri is willing to offer 10 million euros, almost twice the amount he makes at Tottenham.
Should Pochettino not be taken away from North London, Luciano Spalletti of Roma remains the most doable option for the club.

MANY things speaking for a Pochettino move to us: Conte won’t come, Simeone won’t either. Spalletti hasn’t been convincing any where. And Ausilio likes the guy, Sabatini too – Tottenham even tried to sign Sabatini and to create a pair of the two- Pochettino and Saba AND our new CEO Nicola Cortese knows Pocho from their time together at Southamton, where Pocho came in and took the club to the highest position in Southamton´s history.
Plus Suning wants to focus on younger players – which Pocho is great at working with and ever since Thohir brought the club every single manager has played 4-2-3-1 and that is exactly the system Pocho is playing…
He won´t be a Frank De Boer 2.0 because he has a lot of experience from coaching in Spain, and of course in England where he has done superbly.
He is Argentine so he knows Italian football I guess and knows the langue plus of course knows the Argentines we have in the squad. He played a couple of years in France so maybe he even knows French and of course he speaks English too.
It would be an interesting move to get him and let him build an attacking minded team – even with players from Tottenham (Eriksen and Lemela and maybe even the Belgian defender we have been linked to?).
Pochettino is a good candidate to build the team from the scratch, and more probable than Conte or Simeone and no to Spaletti. I see him as what we need, but 10mil is a real exaggeration, there are some other things to convince him
No Seria A experience and coming from a league where Ranieri won the primiership. He makes Tottenham look good, but Inter is not Tottenham and I don’t believe he will be given time to teach the team a new style of play.
Spalletti over
Pochettino any day
I pray that we don’t end up with spalletti. This team lacks a strong leader with experience and winning mentality. Spalletti is OK but I don’t think he has the mindset of a winner. We desperately need someone to shout/scream and even throw stuff at the half time if the team does not perform. Someone with reputation so the team doesn’t try to sabotage him.
If you had a clue and had followed the spalletti-Totti drama this season you would know that Spalletti is exactly that type you want actually.
So that’s what Inter need in your opinion. Someone to create controversial situation in the locker room. The coach who was leading 3-1 at san siro against Milan. The whole stadium expecting Totti so they can show respect to one of the greatest legends in football. What is that guy doing – keeping him on the bench until the end. Great atmosphere creator indeed. Only if you had a clue what I was saying……
I prefer Spalletti over him
Pochettino is an interesting name, but 10 mil/year seems too much
Too much indeed….better use it to add money for fullbacks
Don’t think we the fans should think that much about the salaries – that´s Suning problem and they have shit loads of money to spend so…
