Patrik Schick has refused to sign a contract renewal with Sampdoria amid interest from some of Europe’s top clubs Gazzetta dello Sport report. The Czech forward has already refused La Samp’s advances before in recent weeks as they scramble to increase his buyout clause from 25 million euros to 40 million euros. Schick’s refusal shows his desire to remain within reach of the top clubs. Inter have a clear advantage in the race for the 20 year old which includes Juventus and many other Italian sides and sides outwith Italy such as Borussia Dortmund. The Nerazzurri must act quickly while they’ve an advantage and pay the release clause before Juventus make an assault for the player who has proved a super sub for Marco Giampaolo’s side. Schick, who arrived from Sparta Prague last summer, has netted 11 goals in his debut Serie A season, the majority of which coming when he has came of the bench.

Do they really believe that they can trick him to sign anything? It just
gives a desperate and greedy idea of Sampdorias leadership, that they
even try to do that.
There would be no sense in him signing a paper which would increase his buyout clause. What would he gain from it? 1-2months of time of better salary and a small signing fee.
When he signs for a bigger club he is going to get a lot better salary and signing fee for his troubles. And he can also get a bonus from the club for declining Sampdorias offers, because its the way of modern football.
