Firstly, The former Azzurri manager has two years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge. Secondly, his salary is also going to be nearly doubled with a renewal, boosting his salary to 11 million from 6 million. A few details of the new contract still need to be defined.
With Conte looking out of reach for the Nerazzurri, they have begun initial contact for Mauricio Pochettino, the current manager of Tottenham Hotspur. In the next week, Inter could make more direct approaches for the Argentine, who is deemed as the right coach to start a new cycle at the San Siro. Despite the 45 year old having good relations with his club, the financial aspect of taking up the Inter managerial post could tempt him. The Inter leadership would be prepared to give him a salary of 10 million per season. The former Southampton manager has a 5 million release clause in his current contract with the North London club.
