Massimo Marianella, Sky Sport 24’s resident English football expert, spoke on the probability of Mauricio Pochettino landing on the Inter bench in the summer: “I think Pochettino will coach Tottenham again next year. I would be very surprised if he left, he is one of the best coaches in the world: he has improved the players individually and the team collectively. I doubt he can leave Spurs: In every interview he is talking about how to improve Tottenham. It seems obvious that they [Inter] want to be one of the greatest teams in the world but Pochettino is already at a great team.”

Could be an interesting man to get in. When one sees how he has made teams like Espaniol, Southamton and Spurs play it makes one want to see the same at Inter. BUT it takes time to get this playing style trhough and time wasn’t given to FdB (also because he didn’t know the langue and was heated by the players) – but will Pochtinno be given time?
Me bed would be Spalletti. He knows everything about Inter and Italian football and he knows Sabatini and Ausilio, so he would settle nice and easy in.
He´s playing style is not much different from Pocho but still with that “Italian touch “to it and everywhere he´s been his teams have played nice football and he´s good at working with youngsters.
Spalletti would not be a “glamorous” pick but one that – with the right re-reinforcements , could take us to 4th-3th right away! And how know: maybe his star players from Roma could be convinced into joining him at Inter (Manolas, Nainggolan, Salah, De Rossi)??
Spaletti for one year then Simeone/Conte sounds good to me, hell no to Poochettino, enough with this shitty experiments.
I’m with you on that! But do you think Spalletti would sign a 1-year contract with us, with his ego and all? I think he’s the best o the options out there.
Suning can afford sacking him. Anyway I would give him a 6 new starters and 2 yrs contract.
6 is a minimum no matter what the coach´s name will be: a totally new defense, a quality central midfielder to lead and guide Gagliardini plus a quality defensive midfielder to protect the defense, a right hand side attacker (not winger) and I´d sell Perisic and let a quality left hand attacker too!
or sarii
maybe… not sure we have the patent to wait for Sarri´s way of playing to break through. Besides the team was already made for Sarri when he arrived with players brought in by Benites. But we need a new team – entirely – and a solid foundation to start from next year and maybe Sarri isn’t the right man to trust to give as this solid foundation – I´d go for Spalletti
