Claudio Ranieri spoke on Stefano Pioli to Radio Bruno. The former Leicester manager firstly spoke of Pioli, firstly from his time as a player: “I remember him being a great professional, very caring and very involved. I must say that I had a terrific player on my hands. You could see he was a very caring guy and prepared. He was one of my trusted men, he adapted quickly to Serie B, as did Iachini, Carnasciali and Batistuta.”
Ranieri then reflected on Pioli’s coaching career: “Stefano is a great coach, a great connoisseur, he did well and I was surprised that he was sacked by Inter.”
