Former Inter defender Fulvio Collovati spoke to TMW Radio on Inter’s season: “Inter’s problem is that there were too many radical changes at the club. They lack a reference point, something that the players need. The team was poorly constructed, it is overrated: the latest purchases were unsuccessful.”
Collovati, who was part of the Italy side that won the World Cup back in 1982, then spoke on Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio: “In any other non-football company he would have to resign. His role is to buy players that bring something to the club, If you make a mistake, then those who have made the mistakes should pay. Having chose Sabatini, it means that the owners are not satisfied. Inter have chosen a person to give full powers to in Sabatini.”
Collovati concluded speaking on Inter’s coaching situation: “As for a coach, they will take Spalletti, Jardim or Pochettino. But they are not first choices, that’s Conte and Simeone. Spalletti is better than Pioli. Inter’s history says it takes a strong personality. Spalletti is a strong man who has character. Rome is a difficult place as is Milan. He will not be the first choice, but it would be a great coach.”

This dude makes perfect sense all over the line 🙂 Ausilio will probably be evaluated next summer – if he again this summer overspends on overrated players or don’t do well in re-construction the team he will be sacked and Sabatini will have total power.
I think Spalletti will be the “safe” bed where as Jardim has the potential to “be the next big thing” in the coaching world. Super impressive how he has build and taken Monaco to the top in France in just 3 years time and he knows how to play a defensively, well-organised type of football like he did when them for 2 years.
It´s almost like ones heart says Jardim but the head says Spalletti.
