According to TMW, Pepe is close to joining Inter Milan in the summer but will have to do it alone. It’s been reported that the Portuguese defender also asked his teammate for club and country Fabio Coentrao to join him at the Nerazzurri, but declined to do so.
The reason for that is because Coentrao could indeed be referring a return to Portugal, where there is an official offer from Sporting Lisbon but is also pressured by Benfica’s president to go back to his boyhood club.
