Maturana: “Simeone would be perfect for Inter”

Francisco Maturana, a former Colombian footballer and manager, now involved with FIFA spoke on Diego Simeone: “I now see Juventus as favourites for the Champions League, but rooted for Atletico Madrid, who coached in 1994. Cholo is a good guy, he started with me in Madrid as a player. He imagined that he would go in to management and he will have a great future. He immediately realised that defending is important, his teams play well and are organised without loads of great players. He is an intelligent person, who has grown day by day, he has learned from his mistakes. Him in Italy? He would be perfect for Inter.”
