I hate our management for not taking Rodriguez, no one is cheaper or better than him, and now we’re chasing Masuaku, who isn’t that good, or Mendy, who is three times more expensive! Perisic? He can go, he’s more annoying than useful nowadays. Now I wish us playing in the middle, no stupid crosses. We have a problem, lack of left back, right back, CB, and what to do with Banega, Mario, Perisic, Candreva & Barbosa. I think we’ll struggle another season, hopefully I’m wrong..

Mendy would be my first choice as lb also, but I fear we won´t get him. There are few really good realistic fb targets now that Rodriguez seems to have gone to Bilan.
Oh, I misunderstood. Conte should get a deadline time till Sunday, and if he won’t go to Inter, then sign Spalletti. It hurts seeing Rodriguez going to Bilan, but maybe they have better option, I wish.
Yeah, for me it´s hard to say about fb´s we could realistically get. Jonas Hector could be a solid lb, but he loves Cologne and won´t probably leave. Ghoulam is not a dream choice for me, but I´m trying to come up with something! 😀 He would be an upgrade to our current ones, but not amazing.
Nelson Semedo seems interesting for rb, but should cost a fortune and be risky (can he defend?). Ricardo Pereira could be ok, but I have no idea about his defensive skills also. Heinrichs from Leverkusen seems quite promising, but he is no star either.
I´m just scrambling for some names here as my knowledge is limited with these guys. Sabatini did find Lichtsteiner and Kolarov to Lazio for next to nothing so I´m just hoping he will be able to do some magic tricks with our fb department…
Your comment made me think.. why other clubs are ale to find great fullbacks for a reasonable price? Examples from last 2 years: Chelsea found M. Alonso, Rube has Alex Sandro.. why we aren’t that lucky? Honestly, seeing all these names, I’d prefer bringing back Dimarco and give him a chance to play.

Dimarco is really good at crossing and free kicks. But Empoli is playing Pasqual instead of him mostly. I don´t know if Dimarco is ready yet, but he has promise.He isn´t the tallest fb, but that hasn´t stopped guys like Lahm or Dani Alves. Maybe he needs more toughness and to improve his defending.
I wish Dimarco gets at least one full season playing in some smaller team before coming to back. I don´t think he´s ready just yet.
I do like that lineup a lot btw even if I´m not a big fan of 3-4-3.
