Walter Sabatini has started his work at Inter. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sabatini is looking at two defenders from Ligue 1. Lyon’s 20 year old Mouctar Diakhaby is one of the names and is likely to cost the Nerazzurri between €13-15 million. The second name is that of Dalbert, Nice’s 23 year old Brazilian full back. He will cost Inter no more than €12 million. It is understood that negotiations are at an advanced stage for both players.
Moreover, Gazzetta detail that Dario Baccin is set to take up his chief scout role tomorrow and the new Primavera Sporting Director will be Corrado Verdelli or Gianluca Andrissi. Frederic Massara is also expected to come in to Inter although it is not clear in what capacity that will be.

Our manegement is screwed, another year of mediocrity is coming.
I just hope Nagatomo and other deadwoods leaves Inter…i don’t want when Dalbert or any names underperform, then Nagatomo again being our savior….
Hope he leaves too but with Anseldi out until after the summer he’ll surely stay..
Nagatomo’s need to be released of their contracts if nobody is willing to sign them. If I was in charge of our transfers I’d try to sign guys like Darmian along with Dalbert so that we would also have guaranteed fb’s who can defend.
In our current situation it seems we have to stop dreaming of Mendy for example as we can mostly sign a bit more unknown up and coming players (Dalbert, Diakhaby), big name players at the twilight of their careers (Di Maria) or try to revive club bit part players (Kryckhowiak). I like to dream also, but a bit of a reality check is in order.
As for next season I’m a bit worried about the swiftness how Milan is building their team with Rodriguez, Musaccio, Kessie almost signed and Morata, Keita, Biglia, Conti etc. being rumored.
although i do expect dalbert to be our main Leftback, diakhaby is only 20 years old and he will most likely be a deal for the future.

Just rumurs right? Still when Sabatini arrived we all knew Inter would focus extra more on young players that will be the next big thing- something Suning likes. Saba is a genius in finding rather unknown players and bring them in on the cheap and then with the right coaches help, turn them into world class players.
I don’t know the two mentioned players but they are playing for two successful teams in France so I guess their are good enough for us. Plus both are linked by a lot of great teams in Europe teams that like to play with youngsters and like to play attacking football like Dortmund and Monaco etc…

We might be able to sign a guy like Manolas also with big money contract, but from Pepe to Diakhaby is just fine by me. Mendy was always just a rumor, but it´s true we went from Rodriguez to Dalbert.
I´m still puzzled about Rodriguez. He was played by the first this seasons Wolfsburg manager as cb, when that guy got fired the new one came and played him as lb for one game. After that he was moved him back to cb. But he will most likely do just fine at Milan. Wolfsburg have just been a mess all season.
