La Repubblica report that there is tight competition between Inter and Juventus for Angel Di Maria and Federico Bernardeschi. Inter have an advantage in the Di Maria race due to Juventus’ poor relations with PSG due to the Kingsley Coman deal a few years ago. Meanwhile, it will take either club €50 million to secure the services of Federico Bernardeschi.

What happened to berardi idea?
I was wondering the same…..
I don’t know what kind of buy that Bernardeschi would turn out to be. His left foot is great and he does amazing stuff once in awhile. But he has kind of lazy attitude at times and has tendency to disappear in games. And he pretty much plays with only with that one foot.
He seems kind of guy who could turn out to be a massive hit if he improves his consistency or then a really annoying flop/enigma. I really fear the latter in his case. About Di Maria I’m only gonna say that if Suning wants pay those huge wages of his then go for it. I wouldn’t do it, but he has the ability to raise the level of our attack.
At the moment Di Maria is clearly better than Bernardeschi, but in couple of years Bernardeschi will bloom, while Di Maria loses his magic!
He’s the kind of player who needs a great coach, a mentor if u will, and Spalletti is great mentor indeed.
Agree! Spalla likes him too and wants him to join. And true, Spalla is well known for being a great CHOACH who makes his players better!
Could be. About Berna and Berardi I’m just not sure how they would turn out to be in a big club. The only one of these italian attacking talents I have been really impressed this season almost every time I see him on the pitch is Belotti – he works like a horse for his team, scores with left foot, right foot and head. But he has a ridiculous price tag: 100mil xD And he could probably not coexist with Icardi at all. So Berardi or Berna it is if we want a young italian attacker.
Between these two, I’d choose Bernardeschi any day.
Out of those two Berna seems to have the natural ability/potential to be the bigger star. Berardi will never be a dazzler, but he can rack up goals and assists most likely. But I don´t know if Berardi will be that first team winger for Europe´s top ten club we aspire to be.
There is just a lot of hype and huge price with these italian talents these days. 40-50mil is a lot for these guys at this point.
So true.
Di María surely has the ability to take our attack to the next level AND he also would be perfect to “shelter” the young Bernardeschi from the media and from the fans eyes. We would want Di María to dilever right away while Bernar would be given time to find his feet in the team.
I like the way Bernardeschi a
Has evolved the last few seasons, he started out as a winger, and nothing else but now he has played all season as an attacking midfielder and has done great. Sure he’s young and inconsistent and should never be bought as the man to take us to the next level – James and Di María should take care of that – but he should arrive as a super prospect for the future!
Investing much in James and Di María will come back in, in merchandise sales world wide – for the first time in 6-7 years the fans will have some world class players to put back on their shirts and not the usual mediocre garbage we have been used to for years now…
Suning is drooling over James for those marketing reasons. Hah, imagine having Berna, James and Di Maria on the lineup at the same time – three leftys who don’t really like defending at all. That would be “interesting”. Probably the ideal scenario would be that Perisic stayed, Suning would have their James and they would buy one of Berna/Berardi. Berna is flashier while Berardi is more clinical – hard to pick one out of the two. I’m not the biggest James fan because of his attitude, but at least he is younger than Di Maria and has the ability to carry a team by himself sometimes- the problem is he keeps rejecting us! xD And if we get James what happens to JM then?
i see that attitude at bernadeschi, one leg lazy but flashy..
when I see it I remembered about Diamanti, they are all same position, left footed, from winger to playmaker. if bernadeschi doesn’t improve his lazy attitude he would end like diamanti.
Yep, that work ethic and hunger is so important. Berna is already 23 and I hope he has what it takes. Pro footballers career is over so fast. It´s like if your over 30 you understand, because at that point you´re like where the fuck and how fast did that time go from 20y-30y? Some players who are a bit lazy can find that right attitude under a right mentor, but many just don´t. Changing your nature and getting a right mind set is not that easy – specially if you are young, successful and think you are awesome regardless. He is not a Cassano/Balotelli, but still it´s a bit iffy with him… But I don´t know him personally so it´s hard to say.
with mid table team maybe that attitude is fine, but at big club like inter it never accepted.
if he join us, let’s hope he doesnt like that. but it clearly seen at field.
agreed, he must find the right coach. something Inter’s lacked now, Inter often changes the coach when bad result come. look what happen at our youngster now JM, kondogbia, Gabigol. they don’t reach the fullest potential until now. maybe he fit the sunning plan to build with italian young player, but this type player seems not fit with our history.
You clarified my pub psychology lesson quite we´ll, and I´ll try to spare people from my unqualified psychology lessons here in the future. Lol.
But I just doubt if he has that crazy drive that makes the best players the best. He costs freaking 50mil so he should be the next big thing with that price.
Rube will try to inflate Di Marias price and force Inter to overpay even more and then Rube will sign Bernardeshi instead.
Inters stupid management will no doubt jump into the trap with both legs.
Think twice before speaking about Sabatini
