Repubblica report today that Borja Valero’s agent is in Milan to potentially discuss offers with the two Milan clubs, with Inter the favourites to sign.
However, the Spanish midfielder who doesn’t want to retire with the Viola, reportedly wants to stay in Florence for the meantime.
New Inter coach Luciano Spalletti is apparently a big fan of the 32-year-old, who may be forced to leave if the deal is decided by Fiorentina.

This is what Inter management do to lower the expectation, which already fly high for the past two weeks.
Stay on the ground, Interisti.
You have to be kidding me, what about Yaya Toure ?
So we are selling Banega in order to get Borja Valero?!
Yeah wtf
he is nowhere near what he was couple of years ago
During the winter it was Verratti and Sanchez etc. Now it’s Borja Valero and Luiz Gustavo. Did Thorir buy the club back at some point and I missed that?
this shouldn’t be a surprise. it’s not like this is a new thing for Inter. it always happen year after year.
10 mil per year for the old fart has-been Capello from Suning and then Inter is gonna be making those last minute “loan with option to buy-signings” at the last day of the transfer window after they have failed in offloading Naga, Rano etc. Would be so sweet.
Just rumurs my friend nothing else..
Six years of pure torture and then you are promised heavens from the sky. And what happens: haggling over couple of millions for some Dalbert while the city cousins are constructing full speed. There better be some big and good signings in July. They just had to sign Gabigol and fuck up the FFP for this summer? I’m pissed, because good players are going to other clubs every passing day.
There you go again with your pessimistic thoughts my friend. Us fans have no way to know what the club is planing, the only thing we can do is to trust the directors and the coach to work together in the same direction in order to bring in strong players. And with the combi of Spalletti and Sabatini I simply can not get myself to think negative thoughts for our future!
True, Milan have signed a lot but non of the players they have signed are anything but mediocre! They want Bellotti and I like him a lot but don’t think they will get him for 80m. Plus it’s a super risky road they are taking to succes: if they don’t make into the CL next year the American Fedgefound (Elliot right?) will take them over! With 4 teams going directly into the CL 2018-2019 there is only “room” for one team beside Juve, Napoli and Roma and with some quality signings I still think we have a better chance also because we get to rest a lot more next season than Milan who will start their season much earlier than us.
We need a new defense and some quality in midfield too but besides that we’re good and hopefully the directors have been agreeing transfers behind the scenes!
If I’m not mistaken Gabi was signed with the Guarin money, right?
Those Milan guys will most likely be fucked with their risky planning – that business plan they submitted to UEFA seemed like it was done by 5 year-old kid on drugs. But they might very well steal the CL spot from us next season.
I really do hope most of our managements plans are something else than these rumors. I don’t know if it was Guarin money that went to Gabigol, but If calciomercato was right then it (13mil if I remember right) went straight to Gabigol’s pocket (12mil).
Ha haha! A kid on drugs – good one, and true, the plan was rejected by Uefa after two weeks or something with the comment; “unrealistic”!
Very risky game and as you mention – there will be max pressure on the coach and players from Milan next season. Besides Donnarumma is showing at the moment that not everyone has faith in the new owners and their plan for the future of Milan…
It was fun to see Football Italia’s Bilan fan “journalist” freak out so bad about this Donnarumma thing that at least the mobile versions headline was wrote on caps lock: “OFFICAL: DONNARUMMA WON’T RENEW”. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a headline like that there lol.
Agree still it made me a bit sad as well. I mean what the f&&ok is wrong with the football world today when a kid who made his debut one and a half year ago with his “favorite team” the team who took him in very young and who gave him he chance to shine refuses to sign a new contract so that he can force a move to more money through !??
I don’t know, maybe he was a merchant after all. It just seems like too easy just to blame the old snake tongue Mino Raiola. It’s hard to imagine why Cristiano Ronaldo would try to screw up the taxman even though he has hundreds of millions already. It’s just business and greed these days and it’s really sad. I was sure Donnarumma would stay.
Well written. And today it’s simply “everyone for himself”.
It’s just Inter being Inter. If we can get qualities at cheaper price, why not?
Moreover, they’ve promised us young and Italians. Healthy youngsters like Tomasso Rocchi, Gargano, Vidic, Pepe, Borja Valero, Palacio fit with our long term plan. That’s why oldies like Gabigone, Pinamonti, Di Marco, Benassi, Coutinho, Duncan, etc had no chance here.
Kudos to the management.
I don’t know why there is so much nagging about Borja and Gustavo. We simply can’t get Verratti and Sanchez (even juve can’t get them). These are cheap players to add depth to the squad. It doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be further reinforcement.
I know, but I was expecting more as Verratti’s agent was saying “Suning will revolutionize the market” and so on. These two guys in question are old and cheap fixes even though they might work out in Spalletti’s tactical scheme next year. They are exactly like players Thorir would have bought.
It’s just hard to keep a cool head seeing that Bilan has almost completed their whole squad for next year while we are haggling over Dalbert and targeting Borja.
Thohir doesnt have power anymore in Inter, maybe this is the real face of sunning 🙂
So umm… we should probably try to keep that Brozovich guy. 😀
If this is the plan…then we better keep all the squad minus those who have expired contract…and let’s see what spaletti can do…
selling perisic, banega, brozo, jojo, accompanied with inability to offload naga, santon, ansaldi, rano, and buying this kind of players will just create more damages than building something..
