Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke in length to Gazzetta dello Sport: “Those who want to work with me must feel convinced. In fact, a player must feel like Inter. The boys should not think ‘I am Candreva or Murillo, the Inter player’ but ‘I am the Inter!’ I will hammer this concept into them in every instant. If they don’t understand what it means to wear the Inter shirt, then we’ll get nowhere, I am excited to be working for Inter. I need to look into their eyes and I address them to see if there is the right belief.”
Spalletti then spoke on the mercato, which so far has been hugely affected by Financial Fair Play: “It can cause some complications, but not so much because we fear losing big players, rather that we want to have a word with this group. We’ve got to start hammering them in mind and body so they bring that to the pitch. Depending on who leaves, we’ll change objective on the market, but we certainly have to do something. Our directors are ready for any eventuality. We will certainly sign two defenders.”
Borja Valero is widely expected to join Inter and Spalletti also spoke on the Spaniard: “Borja Valero can be a playmaker or a trequartista, has plenty of character and you rarely get the ball off him. He can play anywhere in midfield and can act as a leader to the others. We need men like that, because it’s hard to get a result focusing on players who are only 22 or 23 years old.”
Spalletti concluded discussing the goals for next season: “Our duty is to feel like Champions League qualification is a minimum requirement. However, looking at the last season, we’d need another nine or 10 victories to bridge the gap with the top three. That’s not forgetting that those three are also reinforcing.”

Same shit every year, before season starts, CL qualification, after 2 wins in a raw, we want the title, mid season, CL again, finally we will make europa league as our target.

This! I think that Mancini also has the same thought but the management refused to give him yaya toure. Meanwhilw spallrti is a bit smarter by asking borja which knows serie A and aging very well. We need more proven players who can give us instant impact instead of youngsters. I think that we are in the right hand.
Here we go again. Remember Mancini exactly year ago? Maybe we’ll fire this guy b4 seasons start as well. This is VERY LAST chance for our management to get my confidence. They have up until Christmas to make (1) good mercato and (2) to get results on the field based on clever mercato
I am Inter.
You and sabatini are the reasons that gives me hope. Like Inter4ever said lets see more action than just words. Good luck Mister.
Already love this guy… Let’s hope it’s not all talk.
borja is good for us..a leader
i hope that by 2 defenders he means 2 full backs
we need a centreback too..
