It makes me wonder how so many fans r complaining about 50 mil di maria but we waiting for 50 mil for perisic… surely maria better than perisic in most aspects and besides 2 seasons n no real impact. Wouldn’t lose sleep at all knowing we lost ivan. I did though for kovacic lol
(Sorry for long post. Your question require long explanations.)
Well.. it’s not that Perisic has no impact in the games, instead it is the Inter team which is having problems by overall.
11 goals and 8 assists in one season is considered very good within a range of big clubs wingers in high tier leagues, furthermore playing for a problematic clubs like Inter. While Di Maria himself had 10 goals and 7 assists, despite many world class teammates in PSG available to help him to performs.
Also, if you observe closely, Di Maria has been declining over a few years back, while Perisic is on the rise.
Despite only one year of age difference (29 and 28), I’m quite sure people can see that Perisic looks belonged in the type of players who are long-lasting and could maintain a fair consistency of his football level up to slightly above the limit of average retired age. It can be seen from his physical performances at Wolfsburg and Inter. No sign of declining yet. I’d say he would probably still relevant for the high tier league games until the age of 32~34.
While Di Maria looks quite similar to a lot of technical-type midfielder / winger which mostly becoming obsolete the more they are approaching to 29~31+ of age. Look at Candreva, David Silva, Samir Nasri, etc.
I’d say Perisic is more closer toward the type of Samuel Eto’o in physical aspects rather than to most type of wingers.
FYI it may seems arrogant for me to say this, but my eyes doesn’t like to show lies to me. They are as accurate as me foreseeing Inter will not be matched up well with either Kovacic and Brozovic, and that they are not as potential as what people hyped for. I said that from few years ago, far before any media ever thinking about possibility of Kovacic (and now Brozovic) exit from Inter.
Nice post man… do understand where u comn from I just hope i can smile more in the comn season. Love inter love the interistas on this website and around the world
FORZA INTER
Bottom line bro, no matter how consistence Perisic might be in the coming few years, He can’t ever be compared to Di Maria.
Di Maria has already proven to be vital in big games unlike Perisic who I highly doubt he will ever will be.
Am ready to take high risk on Di Maria instead of keeping Perisic.
Also remember Perisic heart is not with us, if Inter was playing bad he can’t left us or even show some fighting spirit, am sure Di Maria will left us.
Anyways lets wait & see.
Well, I didn’t say I oppose the purchase of Di Maria nor the sell of Perisic. 😀
Actually I myself is a long fan of Di Maria.
Though I’m just stating the approximate worth of both of them at this current time from my point of view. Which is probably the reason why Inter insist on selling high price for Perisic to MU. If Di Maria is 50m+ then Perisic shouldn’t be too far off from that too, I’d say.
Also, I agree that we shouldn’t hold Perisic down for too long here, as he is already thinking of MU. It will affect his plays one way or another.
Anyway, back to topic of this news. IMO it’s a bit hard for me to agree about us giving PSG one of our Kondogbia or JMario for this transfer. As it’s just looks like a potential double-edged move to me, like a boomerang.
At one side, Di Maria doesn’t guarantee us a success at his current stage of career and age. And at the other side, Kondo and JMario are the foundations of our Central Midfield sector currently.
CM has been one of the only two better sectors of our field last season. I can agree to sell Brozovic, Banega, and Medel. But we should keep three of our best midfielders (including Gagliardini) if we want to build this squad.
It will be just funny if we spent 50+ million while losing one of our foundation in midfield just to get a 29 years old Di Maria, and then (if, by not a small chance) that Di Maria didn’t do much in Inter as high as expected as that 85m value. :'(
That would be a super disaster.
Also keep in mind that there is no guarantee that we will see Radja in our shirt. As I don’t see Radja liking our club too well. I think we need to search for another target aside from Radja for the midfield.
And if we are to spent about as high as 85m worth on just one winger, I’d say giving that money to Bayern would still make more sense, so we will get someone as strong as Douglas Costa.
Nonetheless, this is not my money, it’s Suning’s money. So I will still happily welcome Di Maria when he comes. 🙂
hahahahhahah
lol
how did you come up with that number?
50+ 40
€30 million plus Geoffrey Kondogbia
Tuttosport….
50mill + Kdog, that’s a terrible deal for a 29yo… 50mill alone is fine (IMO still too much for him).
