The Inter leadership are prepared to offer a player or perhaps even players as part of a deal to land Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint Germain, Tuttosport report.
The French capital club would like about €50 million for the Argentine international. The figure is not impossible for Inter to achieve but they would rather include a player or players in the deal to lower the cost.
PSG’s courtship of Gianluigi Donnarumma has taken a huge blow, with the teen set to renew with Milan, despite that looking extremely far fetched a week or so ago. Inter could therefore offer Samir Handanovic in the deal. The Slovenian is not technically for sale but at the same time is not indispensable either.
PSG’s leadership are fond admirers of Inter’s Geoffrey Kondogbia and Joao Mario also as well at Ivan Perisic. Inter could just offer a straight swap involving the Croatian and Di Maria, with each player being valued almost identically. Perisic does however have an agreement with Manchester United and has his sights set on the Premier League, despite the fact that Manchester United are reluctant to meet Inter’s valuation of him.

Just dreamin..
Most of us are looking at Milan right now they are strong on paper, but we signed Kondogbia it took him two and a half seasons to even person decently, the pressure at San siro is different, its hughly unlikely that all Milans signings will be stars, give us time, none are Mercato experts
Calm down guys, IT IS TUTTOSHIT
(Plattenhardt – Manolas – de Vrij – Aurier), if inter only change the back line, it will be more than enough for me.
Miranda can put that dutch in the fridge
Forget about Manolas.
Roma are not going to sell both their CB’s in the same mercato.
Why are we so focused on positions that don’t necessarily need to be strengthened? We finally have a good coach who is capable of getting us to 1st-3rd in the league and we are not focused on giving him a proper defense. We will continue to fail if we do not change this.
Our defense isn’t necessarily bad, it’s mostly the tactics. The back 4 pretty much remains the same since Mancini days – we went 5 straight clean sheets to start the season (all 1-0 wins).
I bet if we had Simeone, our defense would be solid again, with the same set of players. It’s really a matter of how they’re coached.
You are only talking about central defender here, right? Even Simeone couldn’t work miracles with Yuto and Ansaldi. One can’t defend, one can’t attack and make a simple cross and both of them have major concentration issues during a simple 90 min game versus a no-name opponent.
I still have hope for D’ambro, but the rest? no way. They don’t have what it takes if we ever want results.
I’m talking about the system as a whole, including goalkeepers, the way midfielders play etc etc. If you see how Atletico plays, even Griezmann comes to the RB position to play defense. If the whole team plays like this, Yuto and Ansaldi – as shaky as they may be – can still form sturdy D.
I’m talking about the entire system, not just the D-line or the goalkeeper. If you look at how Atletico play, Griezmann sometimes drops back to the RB position to play defense. The likes of Nagatomo / Ansaldi, while as shaky as they may be, they can still form sturdy defense in my opinion with well-organized defending.
Of course the wide players needs to get back and help defending, but it’a a liability to have Naga and Ansaldi in the defense. I can’t even count how many times they have caused a goal. It’s simply a matter of them not being good enough if we want to win football matches.
Nagatomo, Ansaldi (or even Erkin) are all offensive fullbacks. They all need MF’s help in defending. Part of the problem is we’re playing 4-2-3-1 where CM’s can’t help the flanks and wingers are too far downfield, leaving our flanks vulnerable.
That’s why majority of the blame has to go to our tactics, not the players. 4-2-3-1 makes sense when we had Juan Jesus who was a defensive fullback / CB, but not with the likes of Nagatomo or Ansaldi.
LMAO
Can’t believe you guys see Calhanoglu as a great signing
He is nothing special, but he is only 23 and very versatile. Can play on both wings, CM, AMC etc etc.
I’d say its a pretty good signing for Milan.
Borini is a versatile player too, he’s still shit.
I don’t get the Borini deal though
Squad depth, since they are in the EL.
They are only paying 6m for him after the loan, so hardly something that will influence their budget.
He is only 26 and can easily be sold to other serie a clubs later on.
Italians for the sake of their nationality.
How is that related to Calhanogl?
Your argument was that Calhanoglu is a versatile player, so is Borini, that doesn’t mean that he s good. Anyway, Calhanoglu had a great season, and that was in 2014-2015, since then he was pretty shit considering that he was played out of his best position (CAM).
15 games this past season. 6 goals and 5 assists. I think it’s pretty solid stats..
I never said it means he is good. But its an irrelevant comparison nevertheless, borderline kindgarten stuff tbh.
Being versatile is good, no matter how you look at it. The fact that Borini is shit, despite also being versatile, is not a counter argument.
Being veratile is still a good trait, regardless if the player is shit.
lol you do know he was also suspended for half a season right?
And he didnt play AMC ever since 14/15, he played all over the midfield and wings, mostly on the left actually,
For 20M, I think it’s a great deal for them
I wonder why Leverkusen let him go so cheap. Is it the German way on the transfer market or something?
They learned from us lol. Banega for 9 means could become a new reference.
The German and Inter way. We´re in good company lol.
injury problem
Let’s get Vidal, Zapacosta, Dalbert and one out of Insigne, Bernandeschi, Keita (or dreaming Ceballos, Ñiguez)
Good choices, but personally I hate Vidal. He is a Juve boy imo. Take him out of the equation and insert Radja with your choices, then you have a good formula!
who could hate Vidal? i had the pleasure of watching him play in his prime and he’s AMAZING !!
Ceballos has a 15m release clause yet we dont even consider him
Vertonghen had a 25m clause, albeit he is 29, he could have been the leader of our defense
Who is this ceballos guy?
a 20 year old CM from Real Betis. theres huge potential in that kid
I’d think half the Europe put a bid in for Ceballos after U21 tournament, but he’ll choose a spanish team for sure. Damn that Nelson Semedo/Nelsinho sucked in the Confed bronze match btw. Thank god Inter hasn’t bought him for 40mil.
The amount of pessimism in this page. Lmao..
Lol that’s what 2011-2017 Inter Milan will do to its fans..
I am fine with your all comments mate. But i still hope for sabatini masterclass. That guy is the best DS for me
I think it is only natural given the empty promises since the treble days. Every year a new “year zero” and a mid-table finish. That combined with a new owner who promised more than he could deliver and a new take-over where one might fear the same. But hey! Like you I have faith in Sabatini.
I wonder when will we aim for insigne. He’s the perfect subs for perisic. Italian, smart, and definitely have a bright future. Even though Im also okay for di maria.
Lol deals with Napoli are a no-no
but he is a good player!
If we meet them for transfer talk, don’t forget to bring bulletproof vest and helmet. Because pistols will be aiming at us.
di maria is too old for this price
So Milan will keep Donna in the end. It’s funny to see some inter fans here minimizing their mercato lol. Conti and Biglia are still on the way and prolly other players will also come. Don’t know about how they’ll deal with FFP, but y’all crazy if you think we still have a better squad. Calanoghlu is set piece master and might be perfect for them I’m afraid, for only 20M it’s a great deal..
Regarding Inter, I hope this is some Tuttosport bs because I’d go nuts if we gave them Handa (one of the few reliable guy these past years) or Mario for Di Maria. I don’t mind exchanging Kondo and Perisic for Di Maria and Aurier for instance. Anyways I don’t understand why we don’t focus on fixing our weaknesses first. Di Maria is not a priority at all when our starting FBs are still Nagashit/Ansaldi and Dumbo. It would have been nice if we could have a complete squad for the beginning of pre-season.
they will have 2 more seasons to deal with FFP. and since 4th place means CL again, they have a very good chance to make it and hit the ‘jackpot’ come summer of 2019
and yeah, i love how ppl say Rodriguez is “bad”, Kessie is “average”, Musacchio is “mediocre” or Andre Silva is “overpriced”. they are strengthening their squads very well and can eaily become a danger for our CL-dreams
Exactly! It’s like some fans are saying stuff just to reassure themselves lol.
In reality, we’re know 5 teams battling for 4 spots and so far it’s not Skriniar or Valero that are gonna give us the edge I’m afraid. Still got more than a couple positions that need strengthening.
There are still 2 months to go but I hope we learned from the past, that panic buys the last week of mercato are usually worthless.
yes, its always the actual coach’s fault or the bad angle of the sun, the grass is too short, the referee is a juventino, bad luck etc. and they wonder why they offer like 15m for our “mighty” brozovic or murillo or 5m for medel
Lol also don’t forget Shitytomo’s salary is actually higher than his actual market value…
I’ve been complaining quite a lot about Milan making those signings while Inter being inactive on the market. Right now I’d say Milan has the better team, but there is still long way to go before next season starts.
I’m hopeful for Skriniar who was in UEFA’s and also FourFourTwo’s European U21 team of the tournament. Valero is Spalletti’s request and he’s an intelligent player who can make a nice contribution next season.
I believe Inter will splash some serious money now that FFP has been cleared. I mean they spent easily over 100 millions last season and now that Milan is strenghtening Suning won’t want to be overshadowed in this Chinese battle. I’m not gonna complain too much myself anymore until we see which players will be signed.
Milan’s signings are good, but Inter has still time to construct a better team. I’m quite hopeful actually that this will happen. We have Sabatini and we have a better coach than Bilan, although Milan has the advantage of having the same caretaker for second season in a row.
Bilan will be fucked if they don’t reach UCL next season and might be so even if they do. That growth plan they submitted to UEFA was just comical.
I know there is still time and we have money to spend but our history these past few years make feel cautious.
All the money we spent last year, only Candreva became a real starter… Mario was benched despite showing skills, Banega is already gone, Ansaldi was shit, and Gabi was u know… 30M wasted so far.
So let’s wait and see this time but don’t wait too much, we’ll left to chose the among leftovers…
I’m trying to remain optimistic myself. Milan has a good squad now, but its no super team. Personally I think Conti is overrated and Rodriguez did have that bad season last season – he’s also quite slow. Kessie will probably be quite good and I like Andre Silva. But I wouldn’t go as far as Goal.com that was proclaiming Calhanoglu will make Milan title contender lol. Calha is a good player, but we’ll see what he can actually do.
please take into consideration that RR had to play as a CB most of the season. as for speed, i dont know, we can see how much our speedy tamagochi, pereira or jonathan did for us in the past. he can defend and deliver crosses, thats already way more than our current ones’ repertoire
Milan is no super team, but another contender for the 4th spot. hopefully our management is working hard in the shadows…
And he was clearly bothered by injuries all season. He actually missed a good part of it..
Wolfsburg’s coaches liked that Yannic Gerhardt better as lb than RR. Rodriguez was highly rated a long time, but I still wonder why no big team bought him before. We’ll see how he’ll do, most likely just fine. But Inter can still construct a squad that is as good or better than this Milan team. We’ll see.
I know Milan is no super team and all these recruits will have to blend in. But they are being coherent and moving fast, getting many players that are on the rise.. Cant say Im not a little jealous to be honest lol.
Still, I trust Saba and I’m sure Suning will want to prove they are the real chinese boss of Milan. Cant wait for this season to start!
i love hearing an inter fan tell the truth: you forgot to mention the Money Mancini made inter spend on Kondogbia and jovetic !
I agree with you regarding skriniar. I hope he will become next big thing for us. That kid has composure and athleticity. He isn’t fast, but his feet and long ball are above average for young defender. What he need know is support from the coach and fans. I have thought about why kid never develop well on our team because the fans easily destroy their mentality by expecting to much on them and can not forgive if their making some mistake. JJ, Gnou, and Murillo are easy example.
Murillo was given more chance than any other Inter youth product combined. he had a good 3-4 months and that’s it, ever since then he’s showing his true colours
Agree, but we know what the real problem is.
In reality its just 4 teams battling for 3 spots.
Rubentus will easily win the Scudetto again, sadly, but we all know that.
They are not competing with anyone, they will more or less win by default.
They are not competing with anyone, they will more or less win by default only because the rest of the league forefeits the chance at first place !
Indeed, some people calling Kessie average and then praising Fagliardini as something special lol.
Atalanta performed better after Fagliardini had left…No name Freuler outperformed him x 10.
Calanoghlu will be such a good signing! Did terrific with Leverkusen. And yes, on paper, they have a really competitive squad. If Montella makes them blend they will be at the Napoli / Roma level and putting distance to our current team. We rally need to start signing good and proven players and focusing on our weaknesses – the fullbacks, a lack in center defense and some midfielder who can hold on to the ball, dictate tempo and link defense and attack! Maybe that is Borja?
Oh, and please! Whatever you do, don’t let Mario go! He showed glimpses of pure class before he was benched. He has agility and intelligence and could be a super player if he gets a little goalscoring going.
100% agreed. I believe with Mario and Valero we’ll have 2 guys who can hold on to the ball in fact. So what we’ll really need then, is a mid that can score goals and a real holding mid. Then of course we still need to reinforce the defense and one pacey winger to satisfy Spalletti.
In other words, there is still a lot of work to do. I just hope they don’t waste so much time that Dalbert goes elsewhere for instance, after missing Rodriguez for a few millions..
Yes, the whole Dalbert situation should be fixed. If Nice wants 30 million then stop low-balling with 12. Obviously we sholdn’t pay whatever they like, but when you hear Liverpool and others joining the race, you get worried. Even if the player said he wants Inter there comers a time he can’t wait any longer.
I Hope for Dalbert, Darmian (in Perisic deal), Gimenez for defense, Borja and Radja for mid, and Di Maria for the wing along with Berrardi (who nobody mentions any longer). If we only get one wing, I guess Candreva and perhaps Gabi is up for trail again.
and here i am, quietly asking why RR wasn’t good enough for us for 18m…
Yes, good point. As many others, I think he will be very good. Wolfburg were having a very bad time which took a toll on his game. Think Milan got the better one here.
That’s why I’m afraid for Dalbet, first they wanted 15, we offered 8. Now, Arsenal, Liverpool are also involved and we’re talking about 25-30M.. That’s what happens when you take to long to make an actual move.
yeah, we should have given them like 10-12 and deal’s done. instead we wait for homotomo to learn how to defend… Ligue 1 is a goldmine, we could have snatched so many promising players for chump change yet the management looks for unrealistic targets. if it were up to me, i’d try and get Fekir for like 30m instead chasing Bernardeschi or Di María in the 50m region
I was so bummed we didnt make a move for Dembele last year for example. It was obvious he was a gem available for only 25M and we preferred to bet on Gabi (actually I still can’t have an opinion on Gabi, but 3 coaches didnt play him gotta mean smg).
Talking bout ligue 1, Nice has 2 mid Seri and Cyprien who had amazing seasons and scored many goals, could be good options for us. Actually Roma is supposedly trying to buy Seri.
i wouldnt mind having Pereira and Koziello, and thats just Nice lol… as for Dembele, i think he was only like 15 or 18m, now someone might pay over 70 for him. feels bad huh? Aubemeyang did fantastic in Etienne for years in a row, he was dirt cheap too, look where he’s at now
What the hell happened to Gonalons btw, as Roma got him for measly 5mil? You have to tell next season if Marseilles new buy Luiz Gustavo has started sucking or he still a good holding midfielder. I’m very curious how good Gustavo is these days just because he was linked to Inter for forever.
Well Gonalons didnt have his best season and Lyon made him a favor letting him go cheap since he wanted a new challenge. Actually I talked to a few Lyon fans, they don’t mind his departure at all, saying he was making too many fouls and been dropping the past two years etc.. Let’s see if he’ll relaunch his career at Roma.
As for Gustavo, it’s big surprise. As a marseille fan I’m glad the new owner is showing the money lol. I’ll update you on his level but it’s a first step. The team needs many more reinforcement still.
i guess one of the reasons is Lucas Tousart
Its not easy to offload that shit we all know that
i think the “new” direction is good, the management finally realized the main problem with Inter are the mediocre players, seeing how basically everyone is for sale (and hopefully most of them will be sold)
Hope you are right. I would love Sabatini and Co. to nail 4-5 quality improvements out of nowhere – from work done under the radar. Signings that will put us on par with top 2-3. One can dream, right 🙂
im unsure about Sabatini, he had just as many bad signings as good ones. we have money to spend, we just need to do it smart – while we need at least 4 (basically a new defence), rather 5 players for the starting XI, we also need to renovate the bench. i think Borja is a start for the latter part, he can be a great option coming on if we need some creativity boost
