Simon Friis, the agent of one of Inter’s latest recruits in Jens Odgaard spoke to Danish outlet BT on his clients arrival at the Nerazzurri: “Jens is of course very happy with this transfer. Jens rejected important offers from Germany. Some of which came a year and a half ago but he felt it was not right time to go away, so he continued his growth at Lyngby. We had proposals from Germany, Holland and England. We know that Inter are a great club, where it is difficult to break in to because of the thick competition, but Jens has a great talent and is physically and mentally ready for this challenge.”

Friis then revealed Inter’s plans for the 18 year old attacker: “Jens will train every day with the first team, so as to demonstrate his qualities in training and it is there that he will show that he deserves to make his first team debut. Inter won the Under-19 championship, so there will also be games that Jens will play in the Primavera.”

Friis concluded the interview discussing the contract that Odgaard has signed with Inter: “He has a long contract and he is happy. The fact that Inter have him under contract for four years is proof that they believe in him and will give him time to prove he can be important for the team. Inter believe that Jens is even stronger than he has already shown in the games he has played. they see great potential in him and it was important for them to have him in right away to learn the language and culture of another country in time for the next season. Jens will be at the retreat with Inter and will participate in the tour.”
