Source close to Medel: “No offer from Tigres”

AS Mexico spoke to a source close to Gary Medel on the interest of Liga MX outfit Tigres: “There is no offer from Tigres at this time, it has not arrived yet. I understand that they are interested in replacing the Pizarro, but it is only a story that I read. So far there is nothing formal.”

Tigres are the latest club to have shown an interest in the Chilean central defender, whose adventure with the Nerazzurri looks like it will come to an end over the course of the mercato. Trabzonspor and Boca Juniors are two other clubs who remain interested in the 29 year old, who has one year remaining on his contract at the San Siro. Inter are understood to have accepted an offer of €5 million from the Turkish club but the player is not keen on a move there and prefers a return to Argentine instead.
