No need to have too big a squad when there is only the league to really worry about (nobody gives a crap about the coppa anyways). Something in the region of 19+3 to 21+3 should be an ideal squad size.

This would make the squad 19+3, which should be enough for serie a if there isnt some extreme injury crisis.
That means 4 new starters: RB, LB, DM and LW
And 2 new backups: RW and CB.
This is a fairly realistic squad to set up in the last 1½~ month of the mercato.
What probably isnt realistic though, is getting rid of all the unwanted players.
Biabia (why didnt he go to sparta?)
Perisic (almost to united it seems)
Gabi (loan somewhere maybe)
Brozo (Could be difficult to sell i think, but wouldnt be a disaster if he stays)
Santon (will fail medical again again)
Nagatomo (nearly impossible to sell)
Medel (almost gone it seems)
Jovetic (Hopefully he can be used in some swap deal with N’zonzi)
Ranocchia (Impossible to sell)
Of the above then i think Ranocchia, Nagatomo, Santon will surely stay as they are impossible to get rid of. Brozo and Gabi could possibly stay as well unless satisfactory destinations are found for them. Jovetic, Perisic and Medel will most likely leave i believe.
Not a bad plan at all. I don’t see Borja starting on the bench, though. He’ll likely play as a play-maker, 3/4ista in a 4-2-3-1. If we sign another CM, he’ll bench Mario IMO. Unless Spalletti is considering Mario for RW. If Berardi comes, then Gabi should be sent away for sure. Brozo will go to EPL, hopefully Arsenal as they have more cash to splash

Because he can play in both as RBLB in fact he last couple of games under mourinho was as LB if we get Aurier and Darmian the later one can play there. I like Barreca but there are no rumors for him.
I wouldn’t mind that I mean the best Inter off all times was la Grande Inter with a couple of international players. Internazionale that name when it was founded had more reasons and meaning back in the day, now you see international players getting opportunities in every team. Having say this I’ll always proud to be nerazurro since I was born with this sensation an passion.

Taking into account that Andreolli, Medel and Ranocchia are leaving, i think we need at least two CB. Now we have Miranda, Skriniar and Murillo (who is in doubt as well). And if Perisic leaves, maybe two wingers. I dont want to rely only on Candreva for whole season.
I have 3 market strategies to suggest for Inter’s midfield this summer:

If all of those startegies fail then I guess we should at least try to get Naingollan.
