He was exceptionally good when he played for Sevilla, probably the best true DM in the world at that time. He reads the game extremely well when defending.
I dont know why PSG bought him though, since they clearly prefer a more ball playing DM, like Matuidi.
For the above reason, i dont think he is a Spalletti type of DM (more a Mancini one). But he would definitely fix the huge issue we have with the lack of defensive ability in the midfield.

I watched PSG many times but he was either on the bench or in the stands. I think I saw him 2-3 times all season. No where near top class thats for sure.
