According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter will complete the deal for Matias Vecino within the next 48 hours.
The paper reports that Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini will offer La Viola two annual instalments of €12 million, reaching the €24 million release clause, to bring the Uruguayan to the San Siro.
However, the paper says that Fiorentina’s sporting director wants the clause in full and that might delay the transfer. Vecino’s agent, Alessandro Lucci will be able to have the go ahead within the next two days.
Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of the 25-year-old, and he was the one to specifically request the signing of him at Inter’s dinner on Monday night.

I’ll be happy with him as long as it’s Spalletti who required us to get him. Personally I don’t see what makes him special, but I guess the coach can bring his best.
He Will make a big impact, you have to remember that it’s the coachs style of play setup that will make a player shine. Buying big that just won’t fit will do no one good. If spalletti specifically requested the player than I have a good feeling that will be a great addition to the midfield toghter with galiardini and Valero!
I agree! If the coach has requested him, I’d say get him while we can. Better than splashing cash on someone like Gabigol who doesn’t fit the gameplan. We all dream of Nainga but let’s be real for a moment, Roma will never let him go to a direct rival willingly. And he respects the club so he won’t boycott them for Inter
Won’t make an impact that is needed. Average player.
All we need is fb. FFS
So we are selling kdog to buy Vecino . He may be slight upgrade over kdog but all our purchases so far are slight upgrades/downgrades. Our biggest upgrade is Spalletti so far but can he make a leap from 7th to 4th? I think yes.
Indeed, our transfers so far plus the likes of vecino, dalbert and keita who all seem likely, indicates that the target next season is to qualify for the Europa league, since none of them are proper upgrades.
Still better than 7th obviously, but not really what we had hoped for in terms of ambition.
I don’t really understand hiring Spalletti though, when there is clearly no plan to build a top 4 squad this summer.
Does he have an EU passport, or does this mean no more Aurier if Dalbert ever comes ??
transfer between serie A club doesnt use EU slot, am i wrong???
that’s right!
It doesnt matter When it’s a player from serie a
Oh ok
Yes he has an Italian passport
