Tuttosport reports that Matias Vecino could be the new Radja Nainggolan for Spalletti. The inter coach is willing to pay the €24 million fee to trigger his release clause.
The outlet says that the Uruguayan could play a key role in the new Inter that Spalletti is building. “Spalletti sees in him a perfect profile for his kind of football, a player who can move across the offensive front and occupy more roles,” Tuttosport says.
His diversity to play across the midfield has led to Tuttosport labelling him as Spalletti’s new Nainggolan, playing defensively or in the attacking third with confidence.

I think Vecino is supposed to be a box-to-box midfielder who runs like dog between attack and defence. He is quite fast, looks like he can also defend and maybe offer some hustle while attacking. He can do good short pass unlike Kondo.
Lucas Lima can do long pass and all and might be a nice player, but Vecino is for completely different role. I don’t think Lima can do that tireless running and defending like Vecino. JM could be perfect for that box-to-box role, but I guess he doesn’t or just can’t defend well enough and just wants to play amc. What a pity.
Vecino plays more deeper on the pitch than Lima who plays as an attacking midfielder or on the wing – like he does for Brazil.
true. what I notice i also that vicino has no solutions or skills to get rid of players when he finds himself surounded by opponent. than, it seems to me, he’s got that “beeep!” moment, lack of idea and he loses ball if he hadn’t got rid of it somehow. in some videos I saw lucas geting out of the trap in the way similar to modrić’s; keeping the ball close to his foot and cheating opponents while permanently moving with the ball… indeed, lucas is more creator and likes to deliver, I hope, to icardi and di maria.
But adding Valero next to Vacino will give him a player he knows and someone he has been linking very well up with at Fiorentina…
