The preparation of Inter’s first game of the season starts today and Luciano Spalletti will have some tough decisions to make regarding selection.
“The coach will be without Davide Santon who has started his own personalised training program whih will only put him back with group after the international break (if he is still at Inter),” Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
“Yuto Nagatomo will have to deal with the annoyances of Gastroenteritis. The doubts concern the midfield as it is thought that either Matias Vecino or Roberto Gagliardini will have to play a place in defence.”

i go with gagliardini ANYDAY. he is the future captain of inter and italy and a potentially complete midfielder. best inter signing of recent years.
Vecino is no world beater, but he is surely much better than the Rube fanboy.

I like Gagliardini very much but I think Vecino is head of him in that race because he’s simply more complete than Gagliardini. He knows how to do it all, and is technically strong, has great long passes and a deadly long shot too,
plus he links up perfectly with Valero from their time at Fiorentina …but certainly Gagliardini will get his minut as well in every game

Roberto and Vecino can definitely rotate. I saw for the first time after months the real Gagliardini against Betis. That means he knows that he’s no longer untouchable in Inter’s starting XI. Vecino is playing against his former team, and probably plays with more fire, therefore I’d like to see Vecino in the line up for this game at least.
