Barring a huge reversal in negotiations, Joao Cancelo will be an Inter player just shortly Corriere dello Sport detail. The Portuguese will arrive from Valencia on a season long loan while Geoffrey Kondogbia goes the other way – again, on loan. The full back will have a €35 million redemption fee and can double up as a winger, therefore presenting himself as an alternative option to Antonio Candreva.

What is wrong with Inter? Selling Murillo for peanut but taking option to buy Cancelo at a premium?
Valencia signed him 2 years ago for 15 million. His probable market value is 20-25 million max. So.. 35 miliion? Wow!
Granted that he got like 5 senior caps.. but .. they were obtained in game versus 1. Gibraltar (friendly) 2. Andorra 3. Faroe Islands 4. Latvia 5. perhaps a friendly? in 2017.
Can you see the opponents in games that he played? I mean no disrespect, but they are hardly world beater.
And he was not even called for Portugal latest two WC qualifying game in 2017. Games #1 – 4 were all played in 2016.
He is perhaps a future star / starters for Portugal but committing to buying clause for 35 million seems a tad expensive.
Most probably, that exactly why we are ‘going’ to get him. Coz among all teams that are interested, we are the one who agreed to Valencia sky-high evaluation.
However, I am positive he most likely going to be a success with us and we will redeem him 1 year from now.
Hmm.. Selling Murillo for 13 mil who is a centerback and getting in a pacy, technically strong young lad with a great cross on him for right back FOR FREE makes sense – especially because it seems like we´re getting in another player for free: Mangala to fill Murillo´s spot on the bench.
In other words: we´re cashing in on Murillo, Ranno, and getting in players to fill their spots for free (Cancelo and Mangala).
Cancelo is 22 years old and very young but seems very interesting and therefor many clubs like Barcelona and especially Tottenham, who had an offer rejected around 30 for him, because Valencia wants Kondogbia so bad!
About the clause in his contract: it´s not a clause that says “we have to buy him next summer” but a clause that says “we can”! Besides after next summers WC in Russia his value might be much higher than the 30 mil he´s valued at now
he is good a agree, but 35 M to much i think to.but i see that the prices is going in sky ))))
Is the redemption clause really that much? seems quite expensive. How come we couldn’t get them to lower it when they are buying Murillo from us and we are letting Kondogbia to go there on a loan with right to buy also.
And if both of us value Kondogbia and Cancelo similarly, why don’t we just swap them?
