Inter want to keep a hold of Antonio Candreva despite interest from Chelsea Corriere dello Sport report. Any deal could exceed the €30 million mark reports in the English media suggest. Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio made it clear in his pre-match interview last night that transfer talk can be left to others and the player is indispensable.

sad to say this i think he can leave now.
Last week transfer mayhem is on and I’m slightly worried we might not be getting our first or even second option players, because of the lack of cash available to pay straight up. Wheeling and dealing with first team players like Candreva at this point of season is also highly risky. Have to just hope that those loans with obligations/options will be enough to get players that can actually add quality to this team. And no crazy swap deals, please.
Finally some realistic non-Fifa game series based opinion…
It’s risky to sell a starter like Candy, but if we can get 30+ mil for him, we should move forward with it, cause Cancelo and Schick have characteristics that can help us fill Candy’s void while being a lot younger.
Also hopefully Barbosa proves his worth in Sporting and come back stronger…
If Ausilio and Saba are able to convince these targets like Schick to only want Inter and on top of that convince the selling clubs to accept two year loans with obligations to buy, or whatever is the method they want to use, I applaud them. That would be some quality work.
Getting a thirty million offer for Candreva would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to cash on him probably. It’s a risk to sell him and of course depends a lot on the player that would replace him. I’m most worried that we will end up having too few quality players in some department. Management has some big decisions to make. Hopefully all will turn out for the best.
I agree that he will not be worth that much ever (with a desperate Chelsea) But the team is clicking and continuity is important. The champions league group stage is worth 50 million that will be much harder to obtain without a proven player.
As frustrating as he can be Candreva was paramount last season. I thought he looked tired and worn out at the end of last season after being the really only bright spot under deboer. I think in a world cup year and with spaletti’s type of play Chelsea would have to offer something crazy to let him go.
I don’t think Candy will be sold, but you never know… Chelsea offering 30+ millions most likely might be just media fabrications like with Perisic in june when the papers were making headlines about ManU offering 53 millions.
That’s the whole point of selling Candy. It gives us enough cash power to get one of Balde or Schick… Both are Rube targets and will be a big middle finger to them. I’d rather going for Schick though. Also Mario and Brozo both capable of play RW …
true, it will be interesting to see what happens
