Inter have closed a deal for Atalanta defender Alessandro Bastoni. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a deal consists of €8 million upfront and a further €2 million in potential bonuses. Moreover, the 18 year old will be sent back to the Bergamo club for two seasons to continue his development.

There goes 10 million on a player we won’t see for years. Can we get some first team players or is it going to be another last minute rush?
It’s the right investment. Rube did that with Rugani, Roma did with Pellegrini. We should get these boys when they’re cheap, otherwise we have to spend 28mil like we did for Gaglia…
Plus Suning is smart and included this deal in our youth development project which is out of the scope of FFP…
I guess it is acceptable if we evaded FFP like that.
Still, we need some real CBs now.
Keep believing in Sabatini and King Ausilio… Something tells me that we will get Mangala
Exactly
Interesting not hear of that, couldn’t they have done that with Pietro Pellegri and Eddy Salcedo so they didn’t fall through?
We also signed Collido from Argentina… We only can buy a limited no of players with that money… We are going to spend a lot on scouting and creating our own future talents…
I would agree with you if we were in the same terms of those two teams you mentioned. You see, I believe investing in the future like this is worthy especially our center backs, however, investing that amount of money now for a center back player who won’t wear our colors now is pointless. Unfortunately, we need to use our petty cash right now for players who will fill the gaps in our squad. We need 2 center backs now since Spalletti said that Ranocchia will leave the team so my guess is that he is planning to use Van H, D’ambrossio or another player CB from the market – which means more expenditure for our budget – besides whoever fill the 3rd CB as our 4th CB option. Bastioni looks promising but it would have been great if he had come now.
we will sign another CB for the sub.. no need to worry.. it’s not like we close our mercato yet.. ^^
agree 100%..^^
talents not found everyday, when an opportunity arise you should take it otherwise you have to pay a lot in the future and that maybe even not enough because talents attract the big clubs which we can’t compete with
If we can get Skriniar, Vanheusden, Bastoni to stay for the next 5-6 years, we could fancy a pretty solid backline
