Corriere dello sport today tried to evaluate the situation of Mangala and Mustafi regarding the transfer rumor.
Shkodran Mustafi, the new addition to Inter’s wish-list is least likely to leave the club as Arsenal have bought him just last season and they will not consider any loan deal. Hence, Mangala of Manchester City is the player Inter is targeting as the management believes they can get him on loan.

Can´t say I know either Mustafi nor Mangala very well but looking at a line of vidoes on Youtube of them both, I´d say Mangala is the better of the two.
he´s taller good in the air pretty fast but first of all; he´s really good with the ball at his feet and has some great long passes – whereas Mustafi reminds me of Mazzarri – and “all in defender” who smashes his opponents and loves a good sliding tackle – a type we actually lack, and he already spend 1 1/2 years at Sampdoria before going abroad!!

we can play w/ 3 CB for more attacking option, which spalletti also very good using it
he wants to leave arsenal to sit on inter bench? cause i cant see either miranda or skriniar dropping for him. we dont have europe for rotation, he will only play in the cup or if someone is injured or suspended. we need someone like tonelli, acerbi. not mustafi.
It will be 3 cb for 2 spots. It depends with injury and suspension. No way skriniar and miranda could perform 100%if they didnt get rest
they will have a full week to rest for most of the season. i really prefer an experienced quiet italian like tonelli and acerbi rather than someone who will be unhappy when benched 4-5 consecutive games at the very least(its more than possible). shame we let andreolli leave.

How much rest do they need though? Without Europe we only have a game once a week.
We have no decent subs. Rano will probably (thankfully) leave, so we need a third defender. Our squad is good, but we lack depth compared to Rube.
Last season almost every defender played a decent amount of games…It’s a heavy duty position and Inter has only two reliable options.
its not like Skriniar is the lovechild of Nesta and Cannavaro or Miranda is not aging… having no competition is what turned murillo to be a failure, its always better to have more first team quality players, especially for the defence. that being said, Mustafi could cost easily 30-40m, not the best investment in our current financial state

no, the fullbacks are Lahm and Howedes.. Mustafi played only as Hummels or Boateng’s backup and that is as CB everytime..

doesnt matter. theyre still a top team in EPL and particiate in europe this season. he will have more minutes with the gunners in my opinion.
