It is two wins out of two so far in the 2017/2018 Serie A campaign for Inter after the Nerazzurri came back from behind to beat Roma at the Stadio Olimpico for the first time since 2008 thanks to a brace by captain Mauro Icardi and a goal by new signing Matias Vecino.
Inter coach Luciano Spalletti showed excellent tactical astuteness when switching things around for the second half in bringing Valero deep and bringing Gagliardini off for Joao Mario which turned the proceedings on their head. Candreva and Perisic each assisted Mauro Icardi one time which led to Inter coming from a goal behind to lead 2-1 before Perisic assisted Vecino on the counter attack gifting Inter all the three points.
