Matias Vecino stopped by Inter Channel to share his thoughts following his first goal for the Nerazzurri in the 3-1 win away against Roma.
“I am happy, especially after a very important win against a great team, but we are only in the beginning. My celebration? I went to celebrate with Perisic who provided me with a great pass, he deserves a lot of the credit. We all fight together.”
What is the difference between playing with Borja Valero and Roberto Gagliardini?
“It is clear that they have different traits, but the difference is that Roma pressed less in the second half which made it easier for us.”
What was that gesture you made after the goal?
“I always do that after I score, I always try to find the people who are close to me in the crowd. Today, one of my friends was there in the Olimpico.”
What has Spalletti suggested the team to do, tactically?
“We want to move the ball quickly in order to create major difficulties for our opponents. We do not want to concede any space to Roma, especially on the wings.”

I am curious to see JM starting the game ,and I am waiting for the end of the mercato.
If by any slim, vague chance we had to get a really strong CD AND Schick..then we could seriously have a shot at anything.
yeah, last time we have constructive win, they said also we are scudetto contenders
Ungrateful Roma fans. Spalletti’s 2nd stint was actually better than his first, he set up so many club records (number of points, goals just to name a few).
Rightful punishment for letting such a great coach go, and we’re glad to have him on our bench.
Telling you folks. Splashing 50m for Naingolan would had been a mistake. With that money we got Skriniar and Vecino. Though I have no doubt that Naingola is a beast, but he has 2 good years tops in his legs… Same with Vidal… They are no Pirlo, nor Xabi Alonso,.. Once they lose their physical gift due to aging, they become average…
Radja is worth every penny of the 50m (or more). He destroyed our midfield for 70 minutes and created ton of chances. Somebody like him as an AM would make Inter a scudetto challenger instantly. JM is great but he’s not a goal threat and we need this badly to take pressure off of Icardi and Perisic. I expect Sunning to address this need after Xmas if we’re in the fight for scudetti. Hopefully they can resolve the chinese problem by then
I would like a longterm solution for that. 50m is close to what Chelsea paid for Kante. I hope we can spend 50mil on a midfielder with an upside like Nabi Keita next summer.
Naby keita’s just overrated. Fivety millions would be fall through.
Goretzka will be a highly sought after CM/AM come January. I would love for Inter to get him. He reminds me of Naggo.
Borja didn’t play well behind the attack. He doesn’t have the pace to
cover that much ground and still fall back when need be. For me he’s
perfect for a regista role like Pirlo was in Juventus. His corridor
passes are top notch and he can hold the ball under pressure like noone
else in the team.
Mario is the guy for the AM position IMO. He’s an absolute beast with the ball in his feet and drastically changed the team in the second half. Dunno if Spal didn’t keep him on the bench for that reason tho. When he entered the field Nainggolan was already out of breath and we quickly won the midfield. Roma lost in the end cause they were fatigued. But if it was a tactical decision by Spal to wait till
they’re tired, it was too much of a risk since we could have been losing
by 4-0 by the time they slowed down.
Agree about Borja (if he could only defend like Pirlo…). I believe Spal went with Vecino-Gaglia because they are better at defending (and they did stop quite a few attacks in the first half). It was both Mario and Dalbert (and Borja staying deep) that helped take control of the midfield.
Our best MF3 at the moment is Borja-Vecino-Mario with Gaglia coming in for Borja in 2nd half to give more defensive stability and Brozo for Mario to give more goal threat.
Pirlo never defend
We were riding our luck and park the bus against roma’s swarm and crossbar challanges. But when the chances to counter arise, we ram our bus at them.
Actually we didn’t park the bus at any time, we were dominated in midfield in 1st half but Spal kept the game plan and didn’t stop attacking even after 2-1, as many coaches would have done. Instead, he put Cancelo in to stretch the field. It was risky as Roma could have scored if it wasn’t for Dalbert the savior. We finally have a coach who has guts. Forza
Yea dnt know what he was watching.
Meanwhile Erick thohir Interview.
“Buying a football club isn’t just a matter of business – you have to love that team,”
“I’ve been an Inter fan since they bought the DUTCH TRIO, and then Ronaldo’s arrival.”
Since when he bought shares in AC MILAN? LOL
I remember in an interview after he bought Inter he said that his favourite player was Nicola Ventola 😀 I mean… really? I’ve seen the guy play like 2 or 3 times. Seems to me Mr. Thohir first decided which year he was an Inter “fan” from and then googled which players played back then. He did well economically but his “love” for the club is a joke.
Yeah I was amazed by his answer too and if I remember correctly one of the journalist asked why you like this ventola guy and he responded that he had tons of potential and blah blah. LOL
LOL. Inter had to decide whether to keep Ventola or Pirlo and they kept Ventola because of his “talent and potential”. Thohir is a joke but at least he knew when to step down.
He meant the trio from Deutschland (Bremer, Mattheius, and Klinsmann) Give the man some break…
Unless a fault in translation I am afraid he said Dutch or at least that is what is said in the translation.
http://www.football-italia.net/108772/thohir-makes-inter-gaffe
No ! He speak in bahasa Indonesia “trio Belanda” not “trio Jerman.” In english “Dutch” and “Deutch” looks similar, but in bahasa Indonesia “Belanda” and “Jerman” is too far away different when we spell it. LOL !
Check out his translated interiew on football italia and fourfourtwo. He is a pure business man and know shit about football and inter in general. He made Inter stable economically but made a horrendous decision in hiring De boer which costed Inter last season.
In that sense he contradicting his first statement and made a fool of himself.
No, naves is right. He said belanda in indonesian means dutch, not jerman (germany in indonesian)
Whoa…that’s awful if he actually said that. We had the German trio (Klinsmann, Matthaus and Brehme) but never a Dutch trio…
Actually he did. I am not surprised that he is not an Inter fan and dont know its history but damn at least dont talk about our rival’s history.
maybe he mean sneijner, van der meyde n then he realize he missed one so he hire de boer 😀
And instead of Ronaldo, maybe he meant Rolando (cb from portugal on loan in his first season in charge) Lol
I always hate that fat nugget. He even doesnt know our history and pretend to be interista. Shame on him
Me too
He knows Bilan history more. what a shame .
Yes, he obviously meant the 3 deutsche,Matthaeus,Brehme Klinsmann but even in a moment like this we have to make a big deal out of anything media would report as… “so negative”….
Don’t care much about it either – he’ll soon be out of the club when Suning buys him out.
Still he was speaking his own language not English so it really was a strange mistake to make.
Mistakes happens and I honestly dont care about him but was just having a little laugh with fellow Interista about him as he made a joke of himself. LOL
Tohir is world class idiot with alot of money.. and cheap
He is a good businessman tho but in sports especially football he is clueless.
