Last week, Inter President Erick Thohir mistakenly proclaimed he started to support Inter when the Nerazzurri signed a Dutch trio. Inter never did sign a Dutch trio and instead signed a German trio while it was rivals Milan who added a Dutch trio to their ranks. The President has today moved to apologise for his mistake in an interview with The Straits Times: “There was a lot of pressure and I had a lot of things in my mind, which caused a slip of the tongue, I would like to apologise to fans. I know the difference between German players and Dutch ones. Inter has never had a Dutch trio.”
