From UK – Arsenal open to Mustafi-Inter loan

Arsenal have today opened up to the possibility of loaning defender Shkodran Mustafi to Inter The Sun report. The deal will involve a redemption obligation opposed to a right to redemption in favour of the Nerazzurri and it will be an expensive fee involved.

Moreover, for the duration of the loan, Inter will pay the 25 year old German’s wages in full. Mustafi is no stranger to Italian football having spent two years on Sampdoria’s books between 2012 and 2014 and moved to current club Arsenal last summer for €40 million.

Mustafi is one of a host of central defenders that Inter have courted as of late as they look to address the lack of depth in that area. Miranda and Milan Skriniar are Inter’s only first team centre back’s following Marco Andreolli’s release and the transfers of Jeison Murillo and Gary Medel to Valencia and Besiktas respectively. Moreover, Andrea Ranocchia is expected to depart by the end of the mercato also.
