Milan Skirniar was interviewed by Premium Sport after having helped his Slovakia beat Slovenia 1-0 in the World Cup Qualification.

“It was a very important win for us against Slovenia. Now we go to Wembley, it is never easy to play against England but we will try. I am happy for how I’ve started the season, I have felt very good with my team-mates at Inter. I have to continue playing like this at Inter as well as for the national team.”

Skriniar was then asked why he has adapted so well at Inter so quickly to which the Slovakian defender replied: “Maybe it has been easy thanks to my team-mates who have helped me a lot. We have 3 central defenders, aside from me and Miranda we have Ranocchia who can easily play from the start. We have started very well against Fiorentina and Roma and we must continue like this after the international break. Our goal is to return to the Champions League and we need to fight fixture after fixture and then see what happens. I have spoken to Hamsik but not about the Serie A.”

In conclusion he was asked about how Skriniar feels about the fact that some fans have a problem with his first name being Milan: “I hope that everything is ok now.”
