Gazzetta – Perisic to renew through to 2022

Ivan Perisic has agreed to renew with Inter. Gazzetta dello Sport report the Croatian will sign an extension through to 2022 and see his wages upped by €1 million to €4 million plus bonuses. The winger, who was heavily linked with Manchester United during the transfer window, will now be the second highest earner behind captain Mauro Icardi.

Perisic joined Inter for around €15 million back in the summer of 2015 and signed a five year deal at the time. Since arriving, the 28 year old has went on to play 80 times in all competitions with 21 goals and the same number of assists.

This renewal has been circulated in the media for a few weeks, since it became clear that Manchester United had cooled their interest due to Inter standing firm and not accepting anything lower than their demands. All that is required now is for an official announcement to be made.
