The UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, has announced a firm stance against French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain. It has been reported in the past few days that there would be an investigation to the French club, for their possible breach of the Financial Fair Play rules.

According to the French sports paper L’Equipe, the recently elected Slovenian President of European Football’s governing body was present at the European Club Association assembly when his indiscretion came about. Whilst there it is thought that he shared some of his thoughts about the situation & told some club directors also in attendance at the assembly that “If I wish to be as popular as Michel Platini, then I know I should ban PSG from cup competitions.”

Aleksander Ceferin’s words were later denied by UEFA according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.
