Following a home match won by Inter 2-0 against newly promoted and so far impressive opposition S.P.A.L. 2013 (from Ferrara in Emilia Romagna), who had achieved four points in the first two Serie A games (0-0 against Lazio and beating Udinese 3-2) coming into the match, managed to put many Inter fans on the edge of their seats for a respectable portion of the game before Perisic put any chances of a late equaliser to bed with a stunning volley from a well found D’Ambrosio cross.
Premium Sports spoke to Paolo Rossi, the former Juventus and A.C. Milan striker but also the man that led Italy to a World Cup victory in 1982, scoring 6 six goals to claim the golden boot as the top goal scorer had this to say about Ivan Perisic: “Inter relies on him, he is indispensable. He has tremendous physical qualities and technical skill, making him a great leader and right now that is what he’s playing like”.
Considering how pathetic our bench is in defense, the most in indispensable player on our squad right now is Miranda. We need his experience and leadership in the backline. Hope that he stays healthy with minimum no of yellow/red cards…
Spaletti is pretty strict on getting cards and fouls so players will straighten up. Last season I think I recall him removing the captain armband from De Rossi for getting a red card i believe.
