After the third consecutive win achieved by Inter at the start of this current championship it is very clear that the effect of Perisic-Icardi’s ruthless partnership is long-lasting one that will inject fear into their opposition, from newly promoted Benevento, to last years champions Juventus.
This is an occurrence that has only happened three other times in the three-point era (in 2015/16 with Roberto Mancini, in 2002/03 with Hector Cuper and also in 1997/98 with Gigi Simoni) and has always been the prelude to a strong result in the league: a top four finish at the end of the championship, a position which this year would take Inter back to the Champions League for the first time since 2011/12. This the common goal for all the players and staff within the Inter camp to work towards come the final game of the season in order for it to be a satisfactory campaign. As stressed by Tuttosport.
should be perisic-icardi-candreva partnership i think, the guy deserve credits also
Agreed.
More than many give him.
But , it is true that peri and ica are our two strikers while candy is more of a ” midfielder of the right wing”.
Perisic and candreva aren’t symmetrical ,one on the right one on the left.
They are two different types of players.
That gives attacking combination that confuse the enemy defence.
Not going to go out and say we’ll be making CL league or threatening Juve for the title yet. Waiting until after the winter break. We went on a streak of wins with Mancini and were top of the table then after winter break we were trash. Hope Spalletti can keep the team together and stay consistent through the whole season and win something whether it’s Scudetto or CL spot.
Yes,still early.
But you have to admit that Mancini streak of 1-0 wins felt and look differently, more casual and miraculous.
These 3 feel and look more solid and due to our actual , consistent strenght.
But, you r absolutely right to wait for winter mercato cause our weakness is the short bench.
First during Winter break means nothing… All Interisti should know this..
i wonder why spalletti didnt gave a post match interview
Officially:
Out of voice.
Sore throat
A win against SPAL was shaky. Not really convincing, just looking forward for the next match with hopes of better performance.
Gotta give spal some credits though.
They were actually atrocious in the first half. Boriello ran out of the field twice trying to dribble the ball and their captain was on the edge of a red card. In the second half all the pressure went to shit and we started to let them play football while only leading by one goal.
well, some of us barely have some rest due to international break while on the other hand, SPAL have their players fully fit. Even though we were not playing good, I’d rather get 3 points instead of 1 or even none.
