Luciano Spalletti continues to experiment as he looks to find a number 10 to play behind Mauro Icardi week in week out Corriere dello Sport detail.
Marcelo Brozovic, Joao Mario and Borja Valero have all been tried behind the captain but there are no certainties as to who will be given the nod for tomorrow’s game away to Crotone. Eder and Matias Vecino are two alternatives yet to be tried.
The versatility of Inter’s midfield is one of the team’s strong points and for the time being, Spalletti is likely to make a decision on a game by game basis.

playing borja as AM is a waste.. i think he’s better in building up the play from center midfield.. the competition should be between mario and brozo.. i’ll choose mario though..^^
Spal showed that he likes a physical intelligent player with great shooting ability as AM like Ninja. Mario doesn’t fit his profile. If you read his interview, he even considered MEDEL?! for this role. So I will not be surprised if he tries Vecino and Gagliardini in the role as well. I personally think Mario is the most suited player in our current squad for this role.
i think the medel part was his joke and a more delicate way to say “you should leave” to medel.. it’s not easy to find another nainggolan. i think he should use mario as AM for now.
i wish for Radja to join us in a near future but at least the team is playing really well- JM should be our new Regista (he is wearing #10)
i hope mario can developed into our new regista. we have borja in this team.. he have the right mentor now. i don’t want nainggolan now. because he’s already 29. next year if we really sign him, he’s already 30. and he’s expensive. i rather go for younger AM. i believe in sabatini in finding the right player for us..^^
Mario has a really good technique, but he is a kind of weak. I hope, but doubt he can become more physical.
I”m still bummed we didn’t buy Schick, because he might have been good fit for the role behind Icardi. I even bet he would have done better job defending than JM. Both Schick and Mario would have provided nice tinkering options for Spalletti. Too bad we ran out of money.
Somebody please install more grit and better shooting to JM and he will be great as both regista and AM.
There will be new up-and-coming young players exploding to the scene this season and hopefully we will bag some of them and not Nainggolan – like you said.
