Inter are on the lookout for a regista. Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri have Santiago Ascacibar, Thiago Maia and Donny van de Beek in mind.

Both Ascacibar and Maia moved on to new clubs in the summer but this will not deter Inter’s interest. Ascacibar left Estudiantes for German club Stuttgart in an €8 million deal while Maia joined French outfit Lille in a €14 million deal from Santos.

The Nerazzurri had followed Maia, an Olympic Gold Medallist with the Brazilian men’s team in 2016 in the summer prior to the 20-year-old’s switch to France. Meanwhile, it was former Inter midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron, the Chairman of Estudiantes, who recommend Ascacibar to compatriot and Inter Vice-President Javier Zanetti.

20-year-old van de Beek on the other hand has started the season well with Ajax and has replaced Davy Klaassen, who moved to Everton in the transfer window. In eight appearances, van de Beek has found the net on three occasions and assisted once.
